From New Consultant to Marketing and Business Development Senior Executive
After leaving a very successful corporate career path, I stepped outside my comfort zone when I went to work as a consultant. I wanted to excel as a marketing and business development expert in the toy, entertainment and licensing industry. I developed a technique and strategy to become an accomplished marketing and business development executive, which is the story I’d like to share with you today.
A few years ago, there was a younger, less experienced Victoria who was embarking on her marketing and business development career in consulting. I had very high aspirations of becoming a successful executive in the toy, entertainment and licensing industry. I decided there was a method I could use to help me accomplish this ambitious goal by becoming a connected person who gets to know key individuals in every business vertical I went into. This became my purpose, and even if nothing was accomplished by getting to know everyone, I figured I would have made friendships, business relationships, and, most importantly, connections. And what those connections were able to bring me personally and professionally were immense.
