I cycled across Canada thirty years ago. I had never biked really far, and this was 3,500 miles. I was not a cyclist. I was a chef in my previous life.
I had broken up with my longtime sweetheart, and my relationship with my dad was a work in progress. When you cycle eight to ten hours a day, you have a lot of time to think. You get up with the sun and go to sleep with the stars and breathe the fresh air and your brain starts to think very clearly.
